Come to an intimate evening with Carolyn Arends and Brian Doerksen and The Shiyr Poets at Prairie College in Three Hills, AB. Carolyn will be highlighting her newest recording: CHRISTMAS: THE STORY OF STORIES.
CHRISTMAS: THE STORY OF STORIES was recorded at the insistence of Carolyn's fans, many of whom backed the project via a crowdfunding campaign that exceeded its initial goal within the first 24 hours and placed the project in the Top-10 Canadian music projects ever funded on Kickstarter.
Brian Doerksen comments, 'I am so thrilled that Carolyn Arends is coming to Three Hills to do a Christmas concert on Friday Dec 4. She is a world class songwriter ('Seize The Day' is one my personal favourites) and a witty storyteller. She has won 2 Dove awards, been nominated three times for a JUNO, and just this month at the Gospel Music Association of Canada Covenant awards she won 'Seasonal Song of the Year' with 'What Kind of King' from her great new album 'Christmas: The Story of Stories.' My band 'The SHIYR Poets' is going to be opening and supporting Carolyn, and she will be joined by Spencer Capier, a brilliant multi-instrumentalist playing the fiddle, banjo and bouzouki. It's going to be a feast for your ears and an evening filled with humour, inspiration and great music that you don't want to miss.'
